Alumni Leadership Scholarship.

Does anyone know when they'll be sending out the decisions?

June 7th for you CA people, June 14-17th for out-of-staters.
At least that’s what my interview-er told me. haha

damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn I don’t want to wait haha :)

p.s. you rule fellow Chris! I hope we both get it.

haha, thanks Chris.

dude. i hope we do.
you can’t argue with free money

Just by curiosity, how is one nominated for this award/scholarship? What do you get because of it? And good luck to all of you !

You must apply first. The application doesn’t ask for your grades or anything it’s all extracurricular based, so you have to write some essays. A group of the applicants are chosen as finalists and subsequently interviewed. Most of the interviews are done now so we’re waiting on hearing the response.

oh. i see. how much do you get for it?

$2000 OOS fer sure, $1500 in state?
we pay 80% more but only get a 33% more scholarship moneyy.
not like they heavily favor the in-staters or anything haha

Has anyone heard back yet?

i have heard nothing

not me either.

No response here

just to let you guys know, last year they did not inform those who were interviewed but not selected for the scholarship. what happened in my district was that they notified selected/waitlisted people before the deadline, but sent nothing at all to everyone else. it seems to be done different by region, however, so don’t rule yourselves out just yet.

Wow…not even notifying the people who weren’t selected.
That’s pretty mean, haha

yeah. It was like that for regents as well. Not a very good practice in my own opinion, but I guess it doesn’t really matter to them.

really? my email said that we would be notified by June 17th…

like I said, it is probably different for each district. My email said we would be notified by a certain time, and my friend who was selected as, but I (and others who were not selected) were not notified at all. shrug
