Always Did Better 2nd Semester

It’s strange, with every school-year that goes by, my second-semester grades are ALWAYS better than my first semester grades.

9th grade GPA 1st semester: 3.1
9th grade GPA 2nd semester: 3.4

10th grade GPA 1st semester: 3.4
10th grade GPA 2nd semester: 3.6

11th grade GPA 1st semester: 3.7
11th grade GPA 2nd semester: 3.9

Sucks, because my 1st-semester senior year GPA was a 3.6. I can already tell 2nd-semester is going to be higher, following the same stupid trend.

Anyone else gone through this?

Yes, this is me every year, so you aren’t alone at all! However, my district only gives GPAs for the whole school year.

did you do an activity that is different in fall vs spring?

I would notice that my grades would go up during basketball season…we had these early or late practices so I learned to be very efficient with my studies during that time.
