Am I accurate with these estimates of my chances??

So I'm a hs junior and I've got the colleges I want to apply to narrowed down to 9, but I'm kinda scared I won't get into any of them or will only get into one of them because I'm not really sure how to tell exactly if a school is a safety, reach, match, etc so I don't know if my predictions are on par. I have a 3.77 gpa now but plan on getting straight A's fourth quarter so that should be like 3.8 ish i think? I lost the paper that said what my weighted gpa was but I think it was around 4.3 something... I could be way off on this though I don't remember. I took one AP last year and am taking 3 this year. I got an 1890 the first time I took the SAT: 650 cr, 560 math, 680 writing and a 1960 the second time: 680 cr, 630 math, 650 writing and I am not taking it again. My EC's are average I guess: I'm a girl scout and will have my gold award finished by this summer, I'm in the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, I've been playing drums and taking lessons since the beginning of the school year and I will be doing an internship over the summer for a non-profit in DC. I've got a hundred and something ssl hours but am planning on doing more volunteering in the summer.

So here's what I think and tell me if you think I'm predicting correctly or not:

Safety: University of Vermont
Match: University of Maryland College Park, Elon University, American University, Allegheny College
Reach: Oberlin College, Middlebury College, Bates College, University of Richmond

Thanks!

You second SATs add up to a 1960 and your first ones to an 1890. Your numbers are wrong somewhere. Other than that I agree.

I agree also. Best of luck!

One thing that many high school students forget to do is to include finances when creating their college list. If you were to get into the colleges in your list, would your parents be able to afford the costs? I recommend that you also include a couple of financial safeties on your list. You have some very expensive colleges on your list.

Looks like a pretty solid list… although with those SAT’s Middlebury’s going to be beyond a reach… if you really want to go there I would focus on getting higher test scores.

I don’t know if OP likes to attend liberal arts colleges, but if you have a solid extracurricular activities, why not throw in one or two top LAC schools, such as Swarthmore or Bowdoin? They do not look for SAT scores.

I live in Maryland so UMCP is my financial safety because their instate tuition is pretty cheap… I have taken into consideration finances but I’ve been told not to look at the sticker prices of private colleges because financial aid can lower the cost… Then again I don’t know how much truth there is in that especially if you are middle class
