Am I aiming too high?

I thought U Minn TC would be a good fit… but the more I read people with high scores I am feeling scared

Stats:
SAT: 1360, 650 M, 710 EBRW – essay section 8 7 8
SAT IIs: N/A
GPA: School does not do cumulative-- 3.3 freshman, 2.8 sophomore, 3.6 junior, so far senior 3.7 UW
Rank: School does not rank
Wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until end of sophomore year– that’s why my grades were so bad (counselor says so in rec)-- this means I could not get into an AP or Honors course at my school

Subjective:
Essays: Wrote a great essay on finding who I am through playing hockey
Teacher Recs: Good
Counselor Rec: Should be good
ECs: 3 sport varsity athlete (spend all my time doing sports)
Hook?: My school is in the top 20 private schools in America
Other: White, Female, OOS (MI)

I got into MSU, should I just ignore my app to this school?

@amarz12 you definitely have a chance but it depends on what college you applied to. What are you hoping to major in?

It’s still early yet in the decision process. This week the regular deadline will occur, and they have nothing to do but make decisions to make after that. Your stats are ok-to-decent and you have extenuating circumstances with significant improvement in your senior year. Sending them your first semester grades will help your application significantly so be sure to do that.

Good luck - crossing my fingers for you!

@amarz12 - Please don’t feel discouraged when you read about all these posts (from people with amazing stats!). My son got into UofMN with an ACT of 30 and a 3.77UW GPA. He got into Engineering which is one of the more selective colleges at Minn. We are also OOS. I think what really helped is that they truly do a “wholistic” evaluation of the applicant and see things in applicants regarding “fit” and other qualities that can’t be quantified (personality characteristics like “hard-worker” and “motivation”). Also, try to keep in mind that the group of people who post here is a VERY small sample. I wish you the best and good luck in your journey!

@amarz12 I have to agree with @Nen2625 I had stats similar to @Nen2625 's son and did not expect an acceptance at all to CSE…all I have to say is miracles can happen! (I am also a female so we might have an advantage in that aspect as well! )
