I'm applying to Ithaca College in the fall. I'm an overall good student, but not Ivy-material, with good grades and good SAT/ACT scores, etc, etc. So, anyhow, I just finished AP U.S. history and German 302, figuring I should take subject tests in those two areas. I did fine on history (660), but, despite my love for German (it's my favorite subject), I got a 560 and was in the 34th percentile. Ithaca's already recieved my scores. Did I screw myself?

By the way, I realize I asked a question without a question mark. So ya'll can save your "Yes" comments if you're referring to THAT.

Kind of. But the colleges do know that the language tests are difficult to score well on, so I'm sure they'll take that into account. Also, if your transcript shows that you're a great, solid student in German, a low test score won't mean as much.

I agree with Kamera...subject tests dont completely define your knowledge in a particular subject

Well thanks; that's comforting to know, I suppose.
