I just got my SAT subject-test scores back:

Math II: 720 ( i'm fairly happy about this actually..)

Biology- M: 740 (this is my best subject... i was expecting a 780 minimum).

I'm applying to the ivies... i'm already taking two more subject tests in december in which i'm practically guaranteed 800s (i'm familiar with both languages)... should i retake one?

please answer soon ):

They're not bad at all, but the Ivy situation is a bit different. From what I have seen and heard, 750+ is a comfortable level to be at while 770+ is competitive. If you are able to get your 800s and retake one of your lower 700s and bring it to a 750+, then you will be in a better position. Remember test scores aren't everything, but they are important. Three 800s seem nice, but not at the expense of a dull personality/poor recommendations/shallow essays etc. It's best to be balanced with scores in the 770-790 range while hitting home in other areas as well.

good to know. thanks so much for the advice :\
i'm punching myself in the face right now!

anyone else?
