ok so i got a 780 in math two a 740 in physics and a 700 in us history. I was happy with my scores untill i looked up the percentile (i am not used to the sat so i didn't know what was good). Anyway i found out all of my percentiles were below 86 . Are those scores still ok for an Ivy type school?

I would like to know this as well.

Anyone?

I have no idea and would like to know for sure, too.

I’d like to believe that only students applying to selective colleges take SAT II’s and so to be in the 86th percentile of this group is not too shabby.

I hope this assessment is correct. D’s best test , Bio M, put her in the 90th percentile, 2nd best, Lit was 84th, I think. Her lowest, USH was 70th something. Incidentally, she scored our school’s (by no means top ranked, but this year’s #1, #2, & #3 are going to Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and Cornell respectively & #3 scored 2400 on SAT) only 100 ever on the state end-of-course exam for APUSH (she’s a junior at #3 but pushing #2). So . . . don’t know what to think.

She’s predicting 5’s on AP tests - hope she’s not terribly disappointed. Does anyone know of a correlation between SAT II and AP scores? Do different tests have different focuses?

High 700s are good for Ivys. As getalifemom did mention, most of the people taking the test are competitive students. This is not the SATs where everyone takes them, so the percentiles are going to be fairly varied even if you score high.

Right now, your SATII scores are not going to hurt your application.

so NU “recommmends” 3 subject tests for all students. Anyone know what that means? Are my scores good enough to help my application or should i not risk it. fyi my ACT is 33. superscore is 35 (i don’t think ivy’s use super but it’s there anyway.)
