i didnt get accepted or rejected from pitt. the girl said this was good, because they could of rejected me. They require you to finish the Gen ED requirments first, and thats what they want me to do.

Anyway, lost around 20 credits at drexel that wont transfer. SO im saying, i cant delay this **** and spread this classes out.

IM gonna take 7 classes in the summer, they are all over june 15th though.

im not working or anything, will be in class 8+ hours a day.

Will they let u register for that many hours? My son went to summer school last summer and they would only allow 2 classes/session at the college he was at.

Gotta remember that the material goes very fast --so you will have to leave time for reading, writing papers, studying for tests....

yea they registered me for all of them. i will have friday, saturday, and sunday off.

3 of the classes im not worried about. the other 4 might be a pain. i actually started corresponding with some of the teachers to get the syllabi and start on the material.

Get a 4.0 with that schedule and you will have a huge leg up on other transfers! I don't know what kind of classes you're taking, but when I took one summer chem course, I couldn't believe how much studying per day was required beyond the hours of lectures just to keep up with the lectures themselves...then there were the weekly quizzes...oh man...

I don't want to scare you. But do NOT stop studying, ever, even on those weekends off, because a challenging course load is not impressive with a junk GPA!

here are the classes im currently enrolled for

Eng Comp 101 (Tested out of it at Drexel, need it for Pitt regardless)

Public Speaking (Shouldnt be that bad, i can already give good presentations)

College Algebra (Tested out of Math at Drexel, Need it for Pitt regardless)

Philosophy (may require loads of reading)

Western Civ 1 (No Liberal Arts at Drexel)

western Civ 2 (no liberal arts at drexel)

Intro to Cultural Diversity

yeah, I'm a little nervous about one summer class and you have 7.
I took a jump from basic algerbra to Calc I skipping 3 classes in between so that might have something to do with it. just keep up and knock out as many A's as you can.

taking just english comp, philosophy, and the two western civ classes would be more than enough... just those 4 classes sound like they'd keep you busy. i think you might be underestimating the workload.

i'd recommend taking the monday night class, the online class, and maybe 3 more tops. i'm sure that community college offers more than one summer session.

i mean the eng 101 shouldnt be pad, same with public speaking and college algebra. The only 3 im worried about are philosohpy and western Civ's.

seriously, it's too much. just take the essentials. you might be able to do english, public speaking, algebra, and one of the western civs... and then take philosphy, western civ 2, and cultural diversity at another time. if you work hard. but anything more that that would be REALLY tough to pull off.

There are only so many hours in a day, and I fail to see how you could do so much at once. It is not a question of you ability, but seven classes is just too much in m opinion. I do not no what your current schedule is, but I would compare the hours of school per week you currently take to what you plan on taking in the summer. I doubt this is what you would like to hear, but seven classes really does seem like too much so long as the classes are not jokes in the summer.
