am I dilussional or do I have a shot?

<p>I am from Detroit. . GU is my first choice followed by Tufts. I got deferred from GU in EA so I am a bit pessimistic. Here are my stats.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.6 unweighted 3.7 weighted
SATI- 1280 660 V 620 M
SAT II- Writing 700, World History 690, Spanish 780</p>

<p>I was born in Poland so English is my second language plus I will be the first in my family to go to college. My plans are to major in Eastern European Studies and or International Relations. I spent my junior year abroad in Spain- so i am multilangual I suppose, English, Polish, and Spanish. I </p>

<p>Varsity Swimming 1 year
Model United Nations 3 years went to NAIMUN and this year going to NHSMUN I am the Minister of Defense- couldnt run for office because I was in Spain
School Newspaper- 3 years
School literary magazine- 3 years
Amnesty International- 3 Years
Debate- 1 Year I just started this year and qualified for Nationals and in January went to the Columbia Debate Invitational
Science Club- 2 years performed fairly well at the Science Olympiad
Quiz Bowl- 3 Years</p>

<p>Your standardized test scores could be a bit higher, but you have lots of extra curriculars and are taking a tough course load. Good luck! Did you apply to the College or SFS?</p>

<p>I applied to the SFS. I mean I really want to go to GU. This might sound cheesy but for what i plan to do in the future the SFS will be the best place. It seems to be the only place where I could pursue my passion for foreign languages however I fear that to GU I will only be the 1280 SAT I score.</p>

<p>I got a 1280(650M,630V) too, and I'm trying to transfer from UW-Madison. If we both get in to the SFS, we can set precedents eh? Good Luck.</p>
