Am I doing enough for these schools so far? I have a few questions as well.

I'm a rising junior. I don't know my GPA, and my school goes on a 4.5 scale so it is odd anyway. I'll just list my classes.
Am I doing enough for these schools? Do I show enough dedication? What are my weak areas, and what can I do to improve them for senior year?

I am interested in (in order): NYU, Brown, Colgate, Emory, TCNJ (the college of NJ)...what other schools would be okay for me?

I would like to apply ED to NYU, but my mom refuses to pay 45 thousand if we live an hour away, don't they follow that program that you only pay based on your income? How can I convinve my mother?

I'd like to pursue history and art/design, do I show enough passion for them? I do not know how I can show officers my interests.

How can I pursue an academic career and still pursue art? (preferably in a city area)

School: sends 3 to ivies out of 300

What are my chances in the above schools? What schools would be good for me? What is my maximum hope? I still have part of senior year to do things also. I know a lot is in the future, but it should happen. What can I work on? Thanks

It's really hard to say without any test scores, but assuming you do really well on the SAT and get a 2100+, along with 700's on the SAT IIs, I'd say you'd be in really good shape for most of those schools, inlcuding NYU.

Your biggest reach is obviously Brown, but it could be possible with high scores, and really good essays. I see your passion in art coming through, which is good, but just make sure the admissions people see it as well. The best way for that would be to write about it in your essay. Good luck :]

Thanks!!
Yeah im assuming ill do pretty well on the sats, I got a 1520/2400 in 7th grade, without trying or taking algebra II yet (I was in alg I) good idea on the essay and art..I just heard about RISD + brown program, what's up with that? It sounds perfect!

And does that stupid b+ in the journalism elective throw anything off?
