Am I going to be RESCINDED???

So I got into Brown ED and I just got my third quarter grades.. Am I in danger of being rescinded if my 2nd semester grades turn out like them??

3rd quarter: 3.7 unweighted and 2 B+'s----first semester I had 3.95 unweighted and no B's!!

How bad is this??

^ No. Shut up.
It takes more than 2 Bs to get rescinded, genius.

This isn't bad. A couple of B's isn't the end of the world and colleges won't hold it against you especially if it's a difficult class.

It would be a different case if it were a D, or a list full of C's. Don't worry. You're okay.

For the 100 point grading scale, a Cornell adcom told my buddy that if his final avg. was ten points lower than the avg. he was admitted upon, then his acceptance would be re-evaluated. For example, if one was admitted with a 95 avg. then his acceptance would be re-evaluated should his avg drop to an 84 or below.

I think it's different for every school. For example, I feel ivies would more strict regarding final grades than, say, Miami. As long as you don't completely bomb your senior year, you should be fine.

So if my GPA was 3.95, I shouldn't be too worried unless I get towards the 3.1/3.0 range?? I've just never gotten B's before so I was wondering if my 2nd semester grades will look really bad with two of them =X

No, Bs will not get you rescinded.

Brown? Now way... since when has Brown been hung up on grades??

You should be fine unless you starts getting multiple C's or any D's. As long as you stay above 3.0-3.3, you're probably okay.

Yeah you better bring it up to at least all As and mostly A+s, so yes you are in danger...

A lot of danger... Sorry everyone is lying, good luck. :)

Haha, B's arent going to do anything, as everybody has already said.
Just enjoy your senior year.

You're scared of getting rescinded because you didn't get straight A's?...

umm you're fine, relax. It's going to be okay.

Plus its your final year grades that matter. So as long as those aren't really low you're fine.

"Brown? Now way... since when has Brown been hung up on grades??"

-_-

Anyways, I hope you're all right! I'm still worried though so I think I'm going to go talk to my guidance counselor tomorrow...

I"m sure you're fine. The comment about the grades could be due to the fact that Brown offers its students the option of not getting grades. Students can be assessed on a pass-fail basis for their entire 4 years at Brown. So, Brown doesn't care too awfully much about grades.
