So, I got accepted to Purdue University by applying early. I got acceptance letter on 5 Dec.
But the problem is my grade. I’m really struggling in AP CALCULUS BC, having D in first semester. I decided i will drop that class and not take it during second semester.
Are they gonna know this? i mean, are they gonna look only second semester grade or entire-year grade?
Does dropping a class matter?
I’m maintaining all A’s in other class except Calculus BC.
Am i still getting in trouble? like they revoking my admission…
By the way, i am taking AP Stat too and doing great there…
They are going to get your final transcripts, so yes, they will look at everything. Schools do rescind acceptances for poor grades so I would assume there could be similar consequences on dropping a class. They accepted you with an anticipation that you would complete the classes you listed as currently taking.
Will this specific school rescind for dropping this specific class? I don’t know, you should contact the school to find out what the consequences are.
Contact the school before dropping the class. You need to be careful. A friend of mine had a D got in to a top tier school ED and when she called to ask if she could drop an AP class the schools said they would “re-evaluate her application” if she dropped the AP class. So she got a tutor and kept the class rather than risk it.
