Am I hispanic if I was born in Peru? and what does it mean " how i identify myself"?

<p>I was born in Peru. My parents were also born in Peru, but one of my grandparents was born in Peru, other in Italy, and others in Peru. My grand-grand-parents were from Europe and immigrated here. We are all white skinned, so does that mean that I should mark White in the " how do you identify yourself section" ? </p>

<p>And just for curiousity, if I had Peruvian heritage (brown skin), what the hell would I mark? or Australian heritage?</p>

<p>First off, the questions is “how you identify yourself,” as in how you think of yourself, so there’s no technical right answer. But I would think that Peruvian=Hispanic. :)</p>
