I signed up for the LAST orientation avaliable, and now I am worried all the classes I want to take will be filled up and I'll be forced to spend first semester taking classes that I think are all wrong for me. :(

I've heard a few horror stories from current/graduated USC students about going to late orientations... I can't help it, the last one was the only time in which I could make it.

USC is not some podunk, second-rate public UC P.O.S. you will get all your major req. classes, but maybe not your first choice GE's. so no, your not justified in being worried.

PEALS- I went to the last orientation two years ago, and I survived just fine. Yes, you may find that some of the GEs you wanted to take are filled up, but there should be multiple classes in a category that interest you. Just go into orientation prepared to have to look at different classes than you may have planned to take. One of the classes that I had to sign up for first semester since my choice filled up, ended up being one of my favorites. Sure you can be worried, but you don't NEED to be. There are plenty of great classes offered. And if there is a class that you really want to take that is filled up, just wait another semester! It's no big deal.

hey hey, USC is a great school and I love it, but no need to diss the UC. They are all pretty good, some being great.
