Here's a little background info. I am a rising junior and I plan on becoming an OB/GYN. Now here is my dilemma, I had plans to take Advanced Functions and Modeling this year so I can take AP Statistics next year, but I have had some people tell me that it is wiser to take Precalculus this year and AP Calculus AB next year. What do you guys think? Should I just take the latter of my two options? Thank you!

If you haven’t taken precalc yet, I’d go for that, as it is branches off to many other courses such as you stated.

Personally, I’d do the latter just because having calculus is important for college admissions. However, your choice of high school classes, especially as a rising junior, will have no impact on your desire to become an OB/GYN. I wouldn’t worry about medical school until you are well into college, and definitely don’t worry about specialities until you are in medical school. You have a long ways to go, so for now, focus on taking the classes you enjoy/challenge you, getting into college, and getting good grades.

Didn’t you make a different thread about the same thing? The advice everyone gave you will be the same thing here.
