If you’ve read other threads regarding similar SAT questions, you should realize that scores are but a small component of your whole application. Granted, you could try to improve on 2090 if you have the opportunity, but it’s not that bad a score to guarantee a rejection.

On the other hand, “IMMENSELY strong extracurriculars” may not appear all that outstanding if we consider the caliber of Yale applicants… which is pretty amazing on the average. I guess what I’m trying to say is that since HYPS are such a reach for anybody, everything (incl. ECs) are relative.

It really depends on the context of your school, I mean at my school the statistics show that if you have a 2000+ then you can get in. However according to most on CC you need at least a 2300+. Your ECS will defintely make up for the SAT, GOOD LUCK!

well, no one has gotten in from my school for at least 9 years…
we send maybe 3-4 kids to ivies or little ivies each year. but then again, we have around 30 kids in our grade. whatchya think?

At the information session I went to when I was at Yale, the admissions officer stressed repeatedly that scores were not going to make or break your admission and were actually quite a small component of the overall decision.
other than than, I agree with feathers.o’four.

Eaten, don’t fret You definitely have a chance, because I’ve known people with 1780s getting it… Hopefully you’ll fulfil all the other criteria on the adcoms’ checklists… It’s only 3 more days and you’ll know. Best of luck :)
