<p>that's not uncool either...or else i guess like everyone at my school is. Im sorry but we're teenagers we're not gonna wear J Crew stuff and play rugby or whatever "real" preps do. I like aeropostale and american eagle..and im sorry their clothes are similar to prep-style..if you had to categorize them..</p>
<p>I don't think they're that similar. You can tell they're like... fake stores though. I'm not saying that everyone that shops there is fake though, just most of them at my school.</p>
<p>actually, the term at my school is "jappy" jap stands for jewish american princess though you dont have to be jewish. they dress both preppy and jappy (jappy is juicy sweats, abercrombie, etc) and preppy (birkenstocks, lacoste, herve chapelier totes). there's nothing wrong with dressing aeropostale or abercrombie, tons of well-to-do ppl do so, they choose hollister, and nothing wrong with that. the jappy style belongs more to the nouveau riche (new rich).</p>
<p>I was in band when I was in HS, but there was a group of me and two other people (small group) who were really preppy. Anyone else in band have this?</p>
