Hello, well next year im going to be a junior and we all know that is pretty much to most crucial year out of all the year ( not saying the rest arent but this one weighs alot). So i planned to take as many APs my counselor allowed and heres it is

1-Algerbra 2 H
2-Chemistry H
3,4-Health Science 2 H
5-English 3 AP
6-US history AP
7-Humanities DC(Dual Credit, our school doesnt have AP)

-For the 7th class i really wanted european history AP but the class didnt fill up so i had to choose humanities( which i like also), My school has this thing where we can self study and they will give you acedemic points. Planning to do that.

And im planning to get my Social studies required credit over with so im planning to take some classes at the Comunity College for US Gov and Economic for DC credit.

Also for the AP exams im going to self study for a few more.

Do you think its manageable? Am i going overboard? Anyone had a more hetic schedual?

Really want to get into a good college(Upenn , Cornell)

It really depends on your school's difficulty and your personal ability and whatnot, so I can't really determine if your course load is manageable or not, but at my school, it would undoubtedly have been a cakewalk. Expect similar answers; CC is notorious for having 7+ yearly AP takers with varsity championships and club presidencies under their belts, so most here would probably scoff at your "puny course-load" and proceed to tell you the exact extent of their respective personal toils.

I'm glad you're actually taking your personal interests into account when planning your courses. The mindset of most CC users is sickening -- "I'm gonna take whatever looks best to colleges with no regard to actual interest."

That said, I'm sure you're a capable student and will be able to manage your courseload. Just don't do all your AP studying in the last few weeks (that's what I always do, and those weeks are hell.) Good luck! :]

Take economics at your local CC, its a good course... im excited for it next year.... to bad people think high schoolers cant take on theoretical economics/econometrics... id really love to experience that course...

Anyways, SOLID junior course selection... shows ur focused... seems like your entering into the Social Sciences.. which is good.. you can do it... time management bro!

^^^says the crazy CC population. Yes, your schedule definitely looks manageable and seems to have a good balance of AP's/honors/classes that you are interested in

Hey! thanks for all your comments, i appriciate it, i enjoy learning about history and humanities but i wanted to get into the business field
( investment banking). I want to work international so i thought what a good way to clients history backgrounds and what not.

one rec: for APUSH, get the 10 Days That Changed America book (at least i think that's the title) published by Discovery Channel. It was required reading for my APUSH class, and it's a really interesting book that will help you in the course later on.

Hey! thanks alot. I see by your screen name that you like greek history? Thats my absolute favorite subject to study Spartans and the Athens Woot Woot!

haha yeah. I was obsessed with greek mythology when i was younger, and basically researched everything I could about those crazy, incestous Gods. I read the Iliad, and the Odyessy, but quite frankly, those are rather boring except for some parts when the gods/goddesses go to war :) Yay Greek history lovers!

oh and another recommended book by my APUSH teacher: Founding Fathers(or was it Brothers? agh i can't remember). Apparently it goes really in depth about the American Revolution. Also One Night Stands with History if you can get it ( i think it's out of print, but it's an EXCELLENT book about random, trivial facts :P).
