Am I screwed? (first quarter grades)

Ok, so, Duke seems to be the only school that requires a first quarter report, and I managed to screw up. Long story short, I got a C (79) in English. There is a pretty good sob story to go along with it, but I'll save it.

Now, the dilemma...

The class is a skinny ( I take it every other day) so a "quarter grade" is really an eighth grade, which means that the C I have as of now is not actually a real grade. It gets averaged with the grade from my next "quarter" to make a real quarter grade for the class. Do I still have to put this on the report? The wording is "List any and all courses completed or in progress"

If I do have to put it down, how much does it hurt me? My grades point to another direction for the rest of my high school career, getting straight A's all year last year in the IB program and and being #5 in the class as of now.

I really hope this won't keep me out.
