Hi everyone,
I was admitted ED to franklin & marshall college and I have since kept my grades in relatively high standing, except for one: physics. While my gpa is in the 90s, I let Accelerated Physics slide to a 76. I take all AP courses besides this, and my grades have all been higher then in previous years but I’m worried that my grade in physics will get me rescinded, am I right to be worried?
You might be in trouble if you expressed your passion for physics in one of your essays and told F&M about your Ed Witten posters and your desire to win an Apker award, but I’m guessing that’s not the case?
What were the requirements on your admission letter?
That was not the case I’ve never been a science guy. All my letter said was “your admission is dependent upon your SUCCESFUL completion of high school and maintaining good character” a 76 does not fail me and Id like to think I’m maintaining good character
Looks like you should be OK. If you are worried then call the school and let them know.
As long as you’re not an engineering major, I think you’re fine.
You’ll be fine. Usually 2 or more C’s or a failing grades are a cause for concern. Colleges are generally pretty understanding of lower grades in the second half of senior year
