I'm a highschool junior at a public highschool.
Im looking at schools with medical programs like Rice, Baylor, University of Missouri at Kansas City, Jefferson U, and a few more medical colleges. If anything, my last choice is UT at Austin or A&M Consolidated.

My rank is 32/590 (going to increase by about 5 people in the new semester)
my gpa is abour 3.72
sat scores: around 2100
i have yet to take my SAT II's

I have taken AP's and have done decent on them. (4's)

I am the president of the Speech and Debate team- member 4 years
Health Occupations Students of America club-- 4th place winner at State leel competition- member 3 years
NHS- member 2 years
Academic Decathlon- competitor for 3 years (many regional awards)
Tae Kwon Do- going on a 3rd degree blackbelt (about 7 years)
I am also an instructor and have a job teaching tae kwon do.
organized health fairs
organized speech and debate tournaments
School internship at ST. Luke's Hospital and the Veterans Affairs

I've got alot more awards and clubs but thats the main stuff.

My rank/sat scores are mediocre but I'm very adamant and ambitious about getting into medical school. I have been in the Medical Sciences academy at my school for 4 years and have a large background in the basis of medicine. (A&P classes, pharmachology, Internship, Pathophysiology and Bio II)

My volunteer hours are decent but not astounding. Around 100-150 hours.

If anyone has any input as to if my grades and test scores are good enough to get into med school in relations to other people who apply please let me know.

It's very nerve racking to look through the threads and see people with golden profiles but I think I'm about the average.

(I don't know how much this matters but I am an Indian girl from a middle class family from the suburbs of houston)
