<p>My deadlines are Jan. 1st and I'm going to be sending the apps in less than a week. Are my chances severely decreased? I'm scared!!!!!</p>

<p>I keep talking to different people and they tell me that my chances are slim to none when I get the app in right before the deadline. I don't understand why If my scores are fairly competitive, my sending in the app just before the deadline would be looked down upon. </p>

<p>it doesnt matter when you send in the app. even if you send it a few hours late it probably won't matter. i sent my chicago app 1 hour AFTER the deadline (yes, adjusted for time difference) and i still got in.</p>

<p>as long as its not late late ie. the next day or two days later you should be fine otherwise your most likely deffered, has happened to a lot of my good friends even our safety school, Fordham deffered a good friend because he missed the deadline</p>
<p>it shouldn't matter, i know ppl that submitted it 3 min before deadline....although they got deferred...lol</p>
<p>I know someone who missed the UC deadline by a few minutes, and still got into Berkeley. It hardly matters, don't listen to other people, they're just trying to mess with you because you're their competition.</p>

<p>its simple: unless the school has rolling admissions, getting it in 1 month or 1 minute before the deadline wont matter...AT ALL</p>
<p>they could care less about how quickly you get it all in...in fact, wouldnt they (if they did consider when you submitted it) think that the later you turn it in means the more you worked on it?</p>
<p>dont sweat it, hit submit at 11:59, it wont matter</p>
