Am I screwed?

So I just realized that Cornell basically wanted all of their financial aid documents by January 2nd...where as all the other schools I applied to and all the other Ivys pretty much just wanted a CSS Profile&FAFSA either by Feb. 1st or Feb 15th.

I just finished their forms and faxed them my parents' W-2 forms, and the other materials. I'm someone who really needs financial aid, and I'm annoyed that I missed their Jan. 2 deadline. Do you guys think that I won't even be considered now since I'm about 2 weeks late?

you’ll still be considered but there’s a significant chance that you’ll receive less money than if you applied on time.

same…I just found out right now, I guess Ill send everything in even though it is really late…why would they make the deadline so early!!!

Don’t worry; this notice is posted on the Cornell website:
“Financial Aid Application Deadline
Regular Decision Freshman applicants may still submit applications for financial aid for the 2010-2011. The January 2nd priority filing deadline exists so we can provide you with a timely notification in April. If you haven’t sent application documents to Cornell, do so as soon as possible, but please realize that you may not receive your aid notification with the first batch that is sent in early April.”

Same! Most of my schools sent out a warning of the approaching deadline but I had no idea about Cornell’s deadline until after it was due!
