I feel like an idiot, but I relied solely on my Collegeboard calendar for financial aid applications. The CB calendar says that Cornell's deadline is February 11th, so I made sure FAFSA and the CSS Profile were sent by then.

I didn't bother checking Cornell's actual financial aid website until now. Apparently there's a financial aid app for prospective students that's due January 4th (2006 tax return due Jan. 4 also).

If I mail the application and tax forms ASAP (Tuesday?), will I still be a candidate for aid? I'm worried since the forms would be nearly two months late. Gah!

are you sure that deadline isn't for early action/decision students? I made that mistake with my schools...

Yeah, it's Nov. 1 for ED students.

Yeah you definitely missed the deadline for RD. But the preliminary application they're talking about is really basic. You should probably mail it anyway and then call them and tell them what's going on. They might be able to help you. It's worth a try - I know I wouldn't be able to go to college without financial aid.

Financial Aid

says on the home page that they are still accepting financial aid applications for the 08-09 year.....so go ahead and send the stuff in ASAP!!

yea send it in ASAP!!!
