Am I the only one who isn't applying to UGA as a safety??

It seems like everyone here is completely set to get into UGA, but I am really anxious about the decisions. It is more of a match school for me, and I am thinking that I will be deferrred EA. Decisions will come out(if like last year) on the 10th, so I am going to be a nervous wreck if I get deferred or rejected. No one else seems to be counting down the days, though!=(

Hoo,
You are not alone. My son (and many of his colleagues) have applied
and are anxiously awaiting the decision. We are in metro Atlanta so
getting in EA is a very iffy proposition. Many very good students were
deferred EA last year and several were rejected in the spring. So,
UGA is not much of a safety for kids in our area. Best of luck to you.

It's not a safety for me either. My SAT is okay, but I'm really worried about my GPA.

I'm applying regular, so I'm going to be a nervous wreck until April. Eek.

OK, now I have a support group. Awesome.

Have you guys heard the rumors about UGA having a minimum SAT for the EA round? Do you believe that's true? Eeek! I want to know now! I just have a feeling it's going to be a sad day friday=(

My guidance counselor told my class that you have to have a 12-something SAT and a 3.9 GPA to be admittted EA, but I don't know if I can really trust her on that (she's been wrong about things like that before). It was enough to scare me away from applying EA, though (because I don't have anywhere near a 3.9).

I'd assumed that EA would increase chances like it does at other schools. Who knows?

they keep saying that EA is the same but you just know sooner.

well since you are not going it obviously was a safety.
