I just effed up my driver's test (road part) the first time. I am so angry with myself. I ran a fricken stop sign. Well, I stopped for like a second and saw no cars so I just drove. She tells me to put it in park and come back in 2 weeks. I didn't even get a chance to see if my parallel parking would be passable or if I have to work on that some more because the stop sign was like the third thing on the test. Anyone else fail their first time? Any advice?

Guess I'm the only one LOL

I failed. Here in Maryland there's a course. I nudged a cone during parallel parking, and that's insta-fail.

Came back two weeks later and aced the mofo.

ok, you're all going to laugh at me, but i failed three times. but honestly, i'm a pretty ok driver. just bad luck =/

are they typically "Easier" on you the 2nd or even 3rd time around??

Nah, I failed my first driving test. My school had two Behind the Wheel teachers: one who failed most people and another who passed most people. Guess who I got? The one who failed!

But, it was really my fault that I failed the first test. I really sped b/c it gave me adrenaline rush. I almost hit a man. I closed a door on my coach's thumb (I think this was the real reason  )

The second driving test was really awkard. Because I always speed, I tried hard not to. I had to press the accelerator, and then the brake, and then the accelerator, and the brake. It was so funny, but my coach didn't notice anything because he passed me anyway....or he ignored and pretended to be clueless so I wouldn't drive him anymore. ;)

^ whoa. I definitely don't want to ride with you. lol.

They're not "easier" because it's rare that you get the same tester.

Hey I failed the first time too for the same reason. I stopped at the stop sign, but apparently not completely. I guess it was a rolling stop. He still made me go drive him around though, then I parked, and he's like "well that's 16pts for that and pts for this and it really doesn't matter cause you failed anyways." I cried...then I went back a week later, and aced it! :)

Well, I passed the first time. So, go me.

Haha, I got a guy who passed me despite running a red light. Texas people may want to keep off the road...

lol, my friend failed the third time. heres the story. he had a really really fat tester and he put his permit on the dash as she asked. but it fell to the floor. except she couldnt reach it. so he started yelling at her. lol

Ha, that's funny. My friend told me that they are more likely to fail you if you take the test in the afternoon because A)they are crankier by then and B)they have to fail a certain number of people per day so they start nit-picking. Anyone know if that's true?

2 weeks? Woah.

I failed. And they told me to come back the next day. Passed it then.

People that say their instructor just likes to fail people, thats just crap. They don;t TRY and fail, they just look extra close at what your doing wrong and mark you off for it, so your still screwing up usually, somepeople just care to catch it more often then other.

One thing of advice for the driving test, don't be an ass to your instructor, because if you have a bad personality he won't be so nice. Another one is go in to take it late in the day, by the end of the day they have all had enough bad drivers that day, they just want to get home so they will be much more lieniant.

I went in for my drivers test pretty calm, just got in the car and drove. Got 2 off, and it was for looking over my shoulder and not in my mirrors. Stupid really, because i was still looking before doing, they just have to take points off or it looks like they aren't doing their job very well.

Everyone told me the driving test was absurdly easy...and then I failed it. Go me.

I also join the club of people who messed up a stop sign. I stopped really briefly and then kept driving. He let me do the whole rest of the test, and then at the end told me he was failing me for that. le sigh. oh well. I'm going to take it again in a couple weeks, but I'm kind of paranoid now of messing up on something dumb...

I failed the first time because I didn't parallel park close enough to the curb, which was an automatic fail. For my second time, I had a nice woman who asked me if this was my first or second time taking it, and I told her it was my second and that I had failed on my parallel parking the first time around. So, when I was doing my parallel parking, I managed to get in the spot but was afraid I wasn't close enough to the curb again, so I started adjusting my car. When the lady realized what I was doing, she stopped me before I could go any further and said, "No, no, you're fine." Lucky me, eh?

yeah i had this little lady who couldn't speak English for **** but i did make a mistake. i kind of wanted to tell her to go back to her country but then im sure id be blacklisted.

I failed the first time because when I signalled to go to a left turn lane I KNEW no one was there but I didn't do the extremely obvious neck turn. Everything else was perfect. My second time everything was wrong and I passed. Go figure.

Ok..I didn't put the damn vehicle in drive..so fricken nervous, and it went downhill from there.. :(
