Please let me know! I figure I have a great chance of getting in ordinarily, but with my app so late I am not so sure.

do they even have room left? this is soooooooooooooooooooooo late. If anyone gets admitted this late, I can bet my bottom dollar it's in-staters. Youre chances are really low, though there is a small flame of hope left

Chris, you are as good as in if you ask me. You are Harvard material. Michigan does not often make a habit of rejecting Valedictorians with 1500+ SAT scores.

Any spaces left? Are you nuts? U-Michigan hasn't even admitted half of its class left.

You people are a bunch of doomsayers! I know it's an agonizing process (applying to college, then waiting to hear) but it's not as hopeless as you seem to believe. Chin up, folks!

It's not too late to apply now. The bulk of the applications are still coming in after Christmas. Michigan admits over 12,000 each year. It's not like they will run out of space before the Feb 1 deadline. It's just that you lower your chance by applying late as you have to compete with more people. But it is certainly not hopeless.

Four of my students applied around late January last year (one actually hit the send button half an hour before the deadline), and they all got in. No, they are not in-staters. They are international students.

Chris, I agree with Alexandre that you are as good as in. They just have to get around to process your application.
