<p>I understand that I am applying to some very competitive colleges, but I don't think that my stats are so horrible that I won't be accepted ANYWHERE that I am applying. Some of my "friends" think otherwise. What do you think?</p>

<p>The test scores look a tad bit low for the more prestigious schools. And your EC list looks like a boring laundry list. I suggest you retake the tests and write one good essay to have a good chance at admission. Also, you live in Pennsylvania right? In a city, or those rural communities that mine coal? If it's the ladder, that could make a good essay topic.</p>

<p>I couldn't tell you, but for a struggline sophmore, what did you write your chief essay about for the governors school? I'm not sure what direction I want to go with it.</p>
