lol MIT always came off to me as just extremely ambitious rather than arrogant. He may not intentionally downgrade his reputation a la Databox, but I’ve never felt like he’s thought he was better than me

idk why he’s such a ■■■■■ target. I mean, I spend way too much time here, so you’d think it’d happen to me as well

Yeah you’re definitely ****ing weird. Your little pseudo-apathy facade with the nonchalant “my academics are definitely not average” also make you a tool.

I wouldn’t go as far as to call you weird, OP. I’m definitely not obsessed with the Ivy Leagues. But I am obsessed with grades and I can be very competitive - cutthroat may be a stretch.

Anything you learn from an early age for many years is easy. Computer Science is a peace of cake, but thats because I’ve been learning everything about it since 6th grade from programming languages to deep machine code, to the tips of server & web design. Does that make me a genius compared to my classmates? Yes. But only in Computer Science.

i do not obsess over grades but my grades are GOOD simply because i try my hardest in school
and i don’t particulary care about ivies, it’s just that two schools i’m applying to happen to BE ivies <shrug> whatever</shrug>

Is not the same thing as very knowledgeable. One can be controlled by learning more, one cannot (if one were to even accept the modern conception of “intelligence”).

“I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, I have to hide it from my parents.” Sounds great.
