Amazing, I selected the wrong major for Berkeley. Any way to change this?

I meant to put down Computer Science for Major, and Mathematics for Alternate Major. I'm reviewing the applications and somehow Mathematics is my Major, and nothing for Alternate Major. Is there any way I can change this or notify the school?

I looked for my app multiple times and can't believe I didn't catch this. I could have sworn everything was correct.

Please refrain from insulting posts, I'm aware that this is a grave error.

EDIT: Both majors are in the College of Letters & Science. From what I understand, Cal admits based on the college, not specific major correct? So technically it shouldn't make a difference?

Call them and ask what you should do to change it.
While they admit into department and not major, it’ll still make a difference. Depending on the amount of prereqs you have completed.

Just call them up and tell them your issues, they’re probably have you change it yourself.

Good luck!

Here is the UC Application Center’s number: 800-207-1710

They will be available until midnight tonight PST. Good luck getting in though! Every time I call it says they are busy and to call back. I met with an adviser yesterday and she was pretty clear that changes cannot be made after submission. Maybe for something as simple as a major they will make an exception, good luck!

Berkley does not accept an alternate major. It does not even give you option of selecting one.

^This. You probably mixed up the radioboxes and thought that you put Math as an alternative. In reality, you just changed Computer Science to Math. Call them ASAP and I don’t see why they wouldn’t let you change it (since it’s so early in the application process).

Now that I’ve had time to reflect, that is exactly what I did. For Mathematics, I selected the wrong box. I’ve called the number provided multiple times but everything is busy. Should I try calling Berkeley Admissions or do they not specialize with these kinds of issues?

Here is some L&S CS information for incoming transfer students:
