Looks like my class had some amazing matriculations.
Of the 10 people who are going to Ivy+, 5 are going
to Harvard, reversing the trend to Stanford last year.

One-third of my class is going to the top three UC's.
50+ to Cal, 40 to UCLA, 60+ to UCSD.

How did your class to do compared to last year's class

lol, I'm the first student in the history of my school to go to a top 25 University (UMich)....pretty disappointing, but I must say, I am from FL

Our class pretty much destroyed last years:
Last Year's class:
NYU [2]
TCNJ [2]
Rutgers [3]

This year:
Harvard [1]
Duke [1]
Davidson [1]
Tufts [2]
Rutgers [5]
also with many other acceptances though aren't attending including: BC, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvey Mudd, MIT, Princeton, Williams, and Yale

Our big UC number must give you a hint ... we are in
SF bay area in northern cal. This is the first time we have
5 going to Harvard. The other Ivy+ numbers are pitiful ...
2 Stanford, 1 P'ton, 1 MIT, 1 D'mouth, 1 NW etc.
Many turned down Stanford, Penn etc. for Harvard.

1 Dartmouth
3 Duke
1 Tufts
2 Davidson (1 got the Belk, a full ride)
A whole bunch of UNC-CH's, including the Morehead
Many people got into other good schools but aren't attending...like Washington U in St. Louis and other Ivies

icekiss, wow, that's great. I can think of only one or two public Louisiana high schools (both magnets) that might have had matriculations like that. Would you mind saying if your HS is public or private? (And how did it compare to last years, if you know? I have a pet hypothesis about matriculation and Louisiana kids this year).

i stopped because i got tired of counting (from school newspaper):

6 princeton
6 cornell
5 harvard
4 tufts
3 dartmouth

most students at my school stay in state
this year:
2 Duke
1 Columbia
Bunch to UIUC
few to out of state schools like U of Miama, FSU, Marquette, etc

a lot has to do with finances...rich school, and the kids can afford 9usually to go to name schools...there is a corralation...and it aint jsut transripts
