hello all! I have mostly used college confidential in the past to read threads, but i suppose the time has come for me to request all of your help! haha. So i am a junior and I am planning to apply to the combined BS/MD programs. I have already made a list of 27. I intend of applying to 15 max out of those. I know RPI, Sienna, and Union have combined programs with the albany medical college and i have already done through research on the requirements and such for them. The Union college page is a bit vague though. and the RPI one doesn't really state any SAT score requirements for applicants for anything. I was wondering if there are any specific requirements?? Or are there no cut offs as with Brown's program? RPI is really one of my top schools probably, but i don't know much about the other two so any input of which one's "better" is much appreciated! Thank you! :)

I don’t know too much about Sienna and Union’s programs but RPI’s is great, especially if you are interested in research. If I’m not mistaken, RPI doesn’t have an SAT score cutoff. It is a good idea to apply broadly so 15 is good!

As you said, all three programs feed into AMC but have different focus areas. RPI is focused on research, Union on leadership and Siena on community service. If you are interested in leadership role in healthcare including healthcare management in addition to being a doctor, Union has probably the only program of all the BS/MDs which focuses on this. You get a MBA in Healthcare Management along with your BS and MD.

Yeah i heard RPI is very research based and I am most interested in it. I do not know much about the other two so if anyone has any advise or opinions to offer, I would be glad!
