I am a junior, and I scored high on the AMC 12, but I missed the qualification for the AIME by 1.5 points for my state, ending up with a 93.00.This was the highest score in my school by 9 points because no one studies for the AMC. From what I understand, AMC 12 scores are only worth mentioning if you qualified for the AIME. While this is true, I came in the top 5.22 percent, is this worth mentioning? Or should I only mention that I placed top in school, and not give a score?

Although I doubt you’ll get much of a boost from that score it still might be worth mentioning on your application. Certainly I don’t think it could hurt you. I would mention the score and that you were the school winner.

You should just report that you are the AMC 12 School winner but it really isn’t considerable boost, especially since your school isn’t that competitive for math (i.e being the school winner at a magnet school like TJHSST would be more impressive)
