<p>Hi! I have applied/auditioned for/recieved a scholarship for the musical theatre programme in both AMDA and NYFA and I still don't know which to go to! I have to have deposit paid asap so I really need to make a descision! Both programme are for 2 years, but I really don't want to spend so much money until I am positive which place is best for me? I am Irish bur have US citizenship so I don't know very much about college in the states! I particularly want to go to NY as I have family there! Any recommendations? Or even any suggestions about a different school would be appreciated!! Thank you!</p>
<p>These two programs are not really college programs; if you want a college degree you need to look at a 4-year program. There has been a lot of discussion on this discussion board about AMDA in particular; if you do a search you should be able to find the threads.</p>
<p>I also believe the NYFA MT program is a 2 semester program not a 2 year program. From its website, it appears to be an introductory program that does not require prior musical theatre experience. It also appears that FAFSA based student loans are not available and that the only available loans are private student loans which carry high interest rates.</p>
<p>AMDA also offers a 4 year BFA in Los Angeles.</p>
