Amda

What's their reputation like? Is it worth it? All the hype? Thoughts opinions?

Also, should I use some who works at AMDA as a recommendationf or AMDA?

You might want to do a search on this forum about AMDA. To sum up, people seem to either love it or hate it (and they're the ones who call is SCAMDA). Try to get a range of opinions and then visit, if you can, so you can decide for yourself.

Now that I'm thinking. What do you really get from AMDA? A degree a certificate. I mean I love the school don't get me wrong..do I want a career in MT..yes and I think AMDA can help me get that...but I'd like to end up teaching MT at a highschool. How can I go to AMDA and get to be a teacher?

AMDA is not a college -- it's a 2-year professional program, and you do not get a college degree. If you want to teach high school you need to look at traditional 4-year colleges. I have a number of students who have attended AMDA, with mixed results. PM me if you have any specific questions; I may be able to offer some suggestions.

AMDA has an agreement with New State University that all AMDA graduates can pursue the rest of their 4-year college career at NSU. So at the end of the 2 years you're at AMDA, you can attend NSU for 2 more years and have a degree. I don't know if you must do that in 4 consecutive years or if you can take a break between...

A degree in MT?

Do you mean New School University? Because I've never heard of a school called New State.

I think the poster was referring to the New School.

Sorry, that was probably it. I read this a long time ago, so I don't remember that well
