American business degree -> International Jobs?

Hey guys :)

I was curious to know if getting a business degree from an American college helps land jobs on international lands? For example: If I major in finance and want to work in Japan; would it be possible? Sorry if this is a no brainer question. I just figured if one does finance or accounting in the US, usually it will only deal with the methods of American companies, while abroad they might use different methods when it comes to learning finance? I hope my question makes sense, thanks for your time/input.

Cheers,

The only real obstacle you're going to run into is that Japanese companies don't come to the U.S. to recruit. There will be some differenes in a few aspects of operations, but nothing you can't learn on the job.

I was thinking about getting my BS and then going to Buenos Aires, Buenos Aire is one of the biggest financial cities in South America. I'm told it is kind of easy to get a finance/accounting job there if you can get around in Spanish. I like Argentina; it's warm and nothing but Spaniards, Italians and Germans, my kind of people :).

Nice, sounds like a fun plan. Good luck! :)

What other kind of cities, can Americans get jobs at in foregin contries? Finance and Accounting majors.

Brazil: Sao Paulo is another huge financial city that is not that far from Buenos Aires. For Europe you have London, Paris, Frankfurt and I guess there is a lot of IT jobs in Scandinavia. For the rest of the world who knows, I guess Japan and China might be an option.
