American Institutions Requirement

"UC requires the completion of a college course or courses with a
grade of C or better OR a one-year course in high school in U.S.
history or a half-year course in U.S. history and a half-year course
in American government with grades of C or better (UCLA
requires grades of B). UCSB requires the completion of a college
course. If you are using college course work to satisfy this
requirement, check the appropriate UC catalog to determine
which course(s) to take."

I was wondering about this paragraph which is on my IGETC transfer paper. Does that mean that UCLA requires a B or better for the college course or is it ONLY talking about the high school course?

As it so happens the only class I've ever gotten a C in at my CCC is Political Science 180 (Intro U.S. Government). Now looking at that I'm just a little worried.

It says "a half-year course in U.S. history and a half-year course
in American government." At my high school we had a half year of Econ and a half year of American Government. I know I earned a B or higher in that class, but does that cover me? I'm not sure what my U.S. History grade was, i took it junior year, but I'd imagine it was a C (high school definitely wasn't a good time).

I hope there is some way I can resolve this because I hate U.S. Government more than any other class.
