Has everyone gotten an email about making an account to check the status of your application? I have yet to receive one.

I submitted my app on the day of the deadline (the 20th) and I haven’t received one either, but I did get an email for Preview Day thanking me for applying, so I know they have my app. Did anyone apply for the Frederick Douglass Program?

FDDS is an outstanding program that produces some of AU’s top-tier graduates. Good luck to all students who applied!

This sounds like an issue with AU Admissions. If no one else can help out with this question, I suggest you try calling them at 202-885-6000.

I never received an email about making an account either, but also got the emails about Preview Day and stuff. However, I made an account on my own a couple months before I applied in order to register for one of their events. American is pretty good with tracking students interaction so I imagine they have it linked to my application. At the end of every email they send you, like the one about Preview Day, there should be something at the bottom that says “Your AU ID is” followed by a number. So perhaps if you make an account through the Prospective Student Portal, there’ll be an option to enter your AU ID in order to link it to your application.

Here’s the link to make a prospective student portal account: http://www.american.edu/admissions/prospective_student_portal.cfm

@iddy09 i applied for FDDS!

as for my account, i made one myself right after i applied and just linked it to my AU ID when i got it. i was a little overly eager to get the ball rolling haha
