@musicgirlx17 What are you thinking of majoring in? Michigan has so many more offerings than AU.

@ohrly123 I’m majoring in poli sci so DC is the place to be…and I applied to a bunch of schools here, but I’m doubtful that I’ll get into UMich anyways, even though I got into and got great offers from a few other schools.
@musicgirlx17 Agreed if international or poli sci is your thing DC is a great place to be. Were you able to tour the DC area colleges?
@ohrly123 Yep! I went a few times last year and toured some schools, and then went back this year with some friends and got to get a feel for being in the city without my parents, which was nice. I totally loved AU, and felt very welcomed and at home on campus, even talking with a few students while I was there.
@musicgirlx17 I took a tour of the usual DC suspects. Loved AU area, it had a decent campus, seemed safe and had good food off campus. Grabbed a few students and they were more than willing to share their experiences. Didn’t like the GW presentation/tour, campus was non-existant and students we not engaging. Georgetown is just downright beautiful.
@ohrly123 I felt pretty similar…I liked GW but it felt a little too much like it wasn’t even a college campus. Georgetown is an all around beautiful area and the campus is gorgeous. AU felt like a good fit and reminded me of some schools back home which will be nice being so far.
If we didnt get in, do you think we could call them and ask why? No decision yet, I’m just still paranoid and have a bad feeling.
Waitlisted! live in MD and just got my letter.
@kchbio I think you are the first person to reply that couldn’t create an account online. If so, maybe all that couldn’t are waitlisted/rejected?
maybe so but there were cases last year where some accepted students were also unable to create an account. It’s best to just wait for the letter, everyone should get one soon.
are students accepted off the waitlist offered much less financial aid?
@kchbio Don’t know that answer but according to my 2014 Princeton Review book AU did not accept anyone off the waitlist 
Got my packet yesterday in VT! $10,000 Deans’ scholarship and 24,000 AU Grant. Gotta see where else I get in, but AU’s finaid package is by far the best that I’ve seen!
Two of my NJ friends got their packets today but probably won’t go due to lack of FA.
I can’t create an account either. I haven’t received a letter, but am guessing I got rejected. I don’t have a good feeling about this. Kinda surprised though because I made it to second round of FDDS and Honors. Had CR 690; Math 770; and Wr 700. Disappointed, but there isn’t anything I can do. Congrats to everyone who got in and kchbio I hope you get off the waitlist!
