It’s okay, I had the same confusion. I had to read over the email a few times before I understood; initially I just saw a date and got excited.
What email is this? I have not received this e-mail or the e-mail before that regarding continued interest.
^ I haven’t gotten it yet either. I don’t think we should worry though, I think they might be sending them out in waves. They said three hours ago on their tumblr: “We are sending out an e-mail to all of our applicants later this week about when admissions decisions will be released.”
This email and the continued interest email are the same one. It was sent on Feb. 13th; there is no new email.
Then what email is the admissions tumblr talking about when they say: "All applicants will be receiving an e-mail regarding our mailing schedule by Friday. "?
I believe they’re talking about an email we’ll receive between now and Friday that will tell us when admissions decisions will be released.
Okay so there was an email mailed on February 13th that said AU will notify us the week of march 9th about mailing but it was weirdly worded and thats what me and the other user were talking about. The email you’re hearing about on the tumblr page is the notification AU said they would tell us about in that email I just mentioned. Between now and the end of friday, you should recieve and email telling you when they will begin mailing decisions.
Thanks for clearing that up! American’s system (especially the portal) is the most confusing of all the colleges I’ve applied to. I just want this month to be over with. #:-S
I got in to the GS program! So excited
This is torture. Just send out the decisions already…
Stilchs4 …We’re did you see it? Online?
Has anyone received the email yet?
American will start mailing in March 16th and everything should be received before the 24th.
Do you have a guess for when someone in North Carolina (Charlotte) would probably recieve their letter?
If they actually start mailing on the 16th, then you will probably receive it on the 17th of 18th. If they send in the mail Saturday night, you will likely get your mail on the 16th with the rest of the east coast.
@kitty11 I was sent an email with the acceptance letter and FA Award - I think for the GS program the notifications are separate, as I received it March 3rd and it still isn’t in my portal.
A while ago when I was deciding which schools to apply to (and getting a crazy amount of college emails as a result of the PSATs) I unsubscribed from American’s emails because I decided not to apply. Coincidently, I ended up applying after I talked to a current student. I don’t know how to reverse the unsubscription, and am worried about missing out on importatnt admissions information. Any advice?
@InvictusManeo lucky for you AU is old school and mails it all, and doesn’t do a good job of updating the portal. So you are as much in the dark as the rest of us!! And as you can see above, decisions will start going out next week, so now you are all caught up! If accepted, I assume there will be an accepted student portal and you can start over.
Has anyone who applied to PPL Scholars heard anything yet?
