ok it's a little complicated but i'll explain the best i can. Please just answer my question, I know i could easily talk to my parents about not applying to AU but trust me, it's easier if i just find a way to send this essay.
So my parents really want me to stay close for college. If they had it their way, i would go to American University, about half an hour away from where i live. i REALLY don't want to go there for multiple reasons but because they want me to go, i have to apply. i figured the best way for me to get rejected is to simply write in my essay: "I do not wish to attend American University, please reject me." But i can't submit this on the Common Application without submitting the same thing to all my other colleges. I've read about making alternate versions but it says you have to have submitted an application already and i haven't done that and don't plan on doing that anytime soon. How do i send just one essay to one school on the common app?
Thank you so much for all the help!

AU has a statement of interest box in its supplement, asking for a 75 to 100 word statement on why you’d be a good fit for their community. Submit the common part of your Common App normally, just make sure you note your disinterest in that supplement. Only AU will see the AU supplement.
But are your parents really willing to waste the $65 app fee? I feel like this is an issue you should talk about with your parents.
