<p>Hello, I am new to this site and would like some input as to my admission chances as a transfer student to American University as an Economics major.</p>
<p>I am a current freshman at St.John's University in Queens, NY. (Economics Major) </p>
<p>When I was in highschool, I applied to American and was rejected. My goal is to apply for the upcoming fall semester (2013-2014). </p>
<p>First Semester GPA: 3.25
Highschool GPA: 2.9
SAT: 500, 530, 540.
First Semester Courses: "Law in a Business Environment". "Principles of Economics 2" (microeconomics) "Philosophy of the Human Person" and "World History, 1450-Now"</p>
<p>The courses I am taking now are "Mandarin 1000." "Living with Microbes" "English Composition 1000c" "Theology: Perspectives of Christianity" "Discover New York.(DNY)" and "Business 1100c"</p>
<p>I show a big interest in politics and have worked with the Obama campaign in the past election. I participate in the Young Democrats Club, Economics and Finance Society, and Legal Society.</p>
<p>Since this is new to me, I reviewed a few other posts relating to transfer admissions to American University. If I can help anyone out with key information that I have not listed, please inform me so I can give you a better picture of who I am.</p>
