Hello, as many of you all are aware the regular decision came out today/or sometime this week. I was admitted for the spring of 2018 with a mentorship program. However, I did some research and realized that the mentorship program does not provide financial aid so that makes it very difficult for me to even consider the program. But I am even more concerned because I have not received any financial aid information from American University regarding my 2018 spring semester. So I was wondering if anyone knew when we would find out. Additionally, if we wish to complete the fall semester somewhere else how easy would it be to transfer the credits?
Hi! I was admitted into the same program. If you login to the portal and go to my financial aid award, you can see how much they offer you (but it’s really not much generally). And obviously this will only have the spring semester available. Regardless of where you complete the credits, you are gurenteed admission into the spring semester of 2018 if you choose this option by May 1st. However, if you are sure you want to do AU’s mentorship program you should sign up we’ll before that because they do not guarantee the program to all that qualified even by May 1st. I’m sure it would be fairly easy to transfer the credits if you completed them at a junior college. I suggest you sign up for one of the Webinars on the program once you receive your package in the mail
Thank you so much :’)
I was accepted into this program as well!
Hey guys! I was accepted in this program as well! Does anyone have any idea how many credits we are allowed to transfer from classes we take elsewhere? And when I log in to my portal, it says “missing constituency,” does anyone else’s say that? I can’t see financial aid or an enrollment agreement or anything. Not sure if this is happening to all spring admits or if there’s a bug in my account.
well I think 15 credits are ideal, it said so on the pamphlet.
