I’m from the Chicago area and I’m applying to UBC for fall 2012. Anyone else from the states applying? I visited last year and I could not get a straight answer about grades and such. I have a crappy GPA but I have all A’s and B’s junior and senior year except for one C last year.

I’m applying. I have a bad GPA but good (not great: 2060, 800 SAT subject test US History) test scores as well.

Where are you from? I’d also like to add that UBC is my number one choice haha

I’m applying, too. I’m from New Orleans & my gpa is a 3.79 unweighted, A’s and B’s, 2050 superscored on SAT, 710 US History and 540 Math 2 (kind of awful) subject test.

I’m also from the Chicagoland area. Im going to University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign but I applied as a transfer. Hopefully I get in!

Nice, where in Chicago are you from? I’m a little worried about my senior year first semester grades. Do you think that they will really matter if I’m going well in the only required 12th grade course (English 12)? Canadian universities tend to do things a little differently.

Hey there. I’m applying from California, but I’m a Canadian that grew up in Victoria, B.C. I applied with a 3.72 unweighted G.P.A and 28 ACT. My grades were sent in about a week ago. I hope we all get good responses!

I just got in with a 3.24 GPA, 2140 SAT, 28 ACT, and a super challenging courseload with good ECs… so as long as the rest of your app is stacked it seems like GPA won’t be a huge deal
