Amherst and Brown por favor!!

<p>Hey, so I am applying ED to Amherst, and RD to Brown and I am extremely curious as to my prospects of admittance. Some chances would be appreciated greatly. I'll chance back!</p>

<p>Stats: 3.92 UW GPA (our class doesn't rank but I think I am in top 3%)
SAT I: 800 W 780 CR 680 M (2260)
SAT II: 800 U.S. History 710 Literature
AP: U.S. History 5 AP Language 5 AP Environmental Science 4
this year I am taking 4 (Spanish, Literature, Biology, and Government)</p>

<p>EC's: Managing Editor of newspaper. Only freshman on staff. It is one of the best in California, and we probably put in an average of 20 hours a week.</p>

<p>Summer of foreign exchange in England. A lot of coordination on my part.</p>

<p>Model Legislature and Court 2 years. Bills and proposals passed without fail. Elected Parliamentarian for my delegation this fall. </p>

<p>70 hours of interning/volunteering at an archaeological firm in southwestern England</p>

<p>President of Ultimate Frisbee Club (joined going summer going into 9th). 3rd and 5th in state sophomore and junior years</p>

<p>JV Tennis freshman and sophomore year (MVP freshman year) Broke my collarbone junior year and couldn't play</p>

<p>Legitimate production of A Midsummer Night's Dream with local acting company (Demetrius and Peter Quince). Now part of a workshop that will be performing a show in the spring. </p>

<p>Paid Spanish tutor. Not much else to it. I help people with their Spanish. </p>

<p>Your chances for these schools are the same as most applicants: slim.</p>

<p>But since you’re in the same boat as everybody else, go for it and good luck.</p>

<p>I would say low-reach for Amherst and a decent reach for Brown. good luck.</p>
