<p>Hey, so I am applying ED to Amherst, and RD to Brown, Middlebury, and Georgetown. Some chances would be appreciated greatly. I'll chance back!</p>

<p>Stats: 3.92 UW GPA (our class doesn't rank but I think I am 11/393, maybe a few better)
SAT I: 800 W 780 CR 680 M (2260)
SAT II: 800 U.S. History 690 Literature (retook, getting results in 5 days)
AP: U.S. History 5 AP Language 5 AP Environmental Science 4
this year I am taking 4 (Spanish, Literature, Biology, and Government)</p>

<p>EC's: Managing Editor of newspaper. Only freshman on staff. It is one of the best in California, and we probably put in an average of 20 hours a week.</p>

<p>Summer of foreign exchange in England. A lot of coordination on my part.</p>

<p>Model Legislature and Court 2 years. Bills and proposals passed without fail. Elected Parliamentarian for my delegation this fall. </p>

<p>70 hours of interning/volunteering at an archaeological firm in southwestern England</p>

<p>President of Ultimate Frisbee Club (joined going summer going into 9th). 3rd and 5th in state sophomore and junior years</p>

<p>JV Tennis freshman and sophomore year (MVP freshman year) Broke my collarbone junior year and couldn't play</p>

<p>Legitimate production of A Midsummer Night's Dream with local acting company (Demetrius and Peter Quince). Now part of a workshop that will be performing a show in the spring. </p>

<p>Paid Spanish tutor. Not much else to it. I help people with their Spanish. </p>

<p>No one is chancing you because you have a good shot at all of them because you have great stats, but they’re all really hard schools to get into so no one would be surprised if you didn’t get in, although you should get into one. I hope you have some safeties/more mid-ranges too.</p>

<p>thanks. i do have some safeties but as they are safeties its pretty much assumed i know i can get into those (i’ve already gotten accepted to most UC"s because of the ELC program in California). and your right. the “what are my chances thread” really only serves to boost the ego and fill the insecurities of people who are already pretty savvy to the admissions processes and by association, their chances. I’m applying in like 3 weeks so i know its a crapshoot. thanks for acknowledging the elephant in the room, which is that people only post these things to hear what they want to hear.</p>

<p>I think you have a very good shot at all of these schools. Your EC’s are sort of insane. I think Brown might be the only reach because it’s Brown.</p>

<p>Well you’ll get into Georgetown and Middlebury, but I don’t think you will get into Brown. I’d say Amherst is a toss-up. Chance me back?
