<p>So I'm looking into the Econ Dept at Amherst college and I really am trying to go there.</p>
<p>I've worked really hard these past 2 years in college to make up for my 2.5 GPA in high school. I even got a 3.6 GPA.</p>
<p>Even though I had a 2.5 GPA, I was involved in extra curriculum and activism from education, to immigration to the environment, and even got an award from Princeton. </p>
<p>Anyway, what can I do to make sure I can get into Amherst? Should I send my HS transcripts and recommendations?</p>
<p>Anyone who's transferred there---any tips?</p>
