Transfer From Hampshire College - Possible, or Not Possible?

Hello all!

I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice/perhaps chance me as a transfer applicant to Amherst. My biggest worry is that I am from Hampshire College and thus I do not have a GPA or grades, which can normally be a confusing problem for an admissions committee. On the other hand, all of my classes culminate in a written report on my progression and work in that class, and I have done very well at Hampshire so the reports are glowing.

I did take some College classes in High School where I received a 3.9 GPA and I have the transcripts for those classes. I also will be taking classes this semester at both Smith and Amherst, so I am hopeful to have preliminary grading from that as well as a recommendation letter from the Amherst professor.

Can anyone speak to whether that might mitigate the fact that I have no GPA score from Hampshire? Has anyone ever heard of a Hampshire student transferring to Amherst before?

On the off chance that someone will chance me, my statistics are as follows:

Second Year Student
3.9 GPA from High School College classes
3.6 High School GPA
Pretty average SAT scores, but I will not be sending those in
Hooks: Poor
Extracurriculars: Member of my High Schools Board of Directors and head of the Fundraising Committee, Volunteer at a Foreign Policy Conference for over 5 years with the opportunity to make a connection between Amherst students and the conference, Founding member of a club on campus, Teaching Assistant

Amherst transfer admissions are a complete crap shoot. They tend to prefer non-trads and community college students, though. Must have a 3.5+ GPA, but most admits will have ~3.9.
