I can sign on to housing too. $0 everywhere. Maybe deferred? Maybe not.

gjoesph, when did you get this letter? I wouldn't have thought they would send out a letter until after the official notification time.

gjoesph, when did you get this letter? I wouldn't have thought they would send out a letter until after the official notification time.

Get the all-important housing priority number tonight if you have been accepted.

Congratulations to all who have been accepted!!

don't sign onto housing...sign on to campus.fsu.edu and go to secure apps on top right hand corner, then check the account statement

Is the debt just now showing up on your page or is this the first time you checked?

the debt for me showed up about n hour ago...before that i didn't see anything but last time i checked was 4 hours before that

personally, today was the first time I've looked.

Are we sure that $200=accepted?

yea i really have my hopes up now, i have the $200 on my account also but how can we be sure it means we're accepted

it says it for me!!

BUT, are you guys 100% certain that $200 = acceptance?
because I don't want to get happy and then find out I was wrong lol

o and my stats were
Cumulative GPA: 3.6 but 3.8 HPA
SAT: 1170/1600 1760/2400
103hrs com service
Varsity football and track

if the $200 means I'm in,
my stats were:
3.4 unweighted gpa, 28 ACT superscored

how exciting :)

Rudysmom....I was able to find out my deferral because I signed up for the CARE program which has lower test score requirements than general admission. The program works close with admissions and told me how they enjoyed my essay, classes, just not my test scores. Basically, I need to raise my test scores by March for consideration for admission. My college advisor also had me to send in mid year grades etc.

Good Luck Everyone!!
GO NOLES!!!

Thank you, gjoesph. Good luck to you! :)

re the $200. i wouldn't say you are in for sure, until midnight when you actually see the letter welcoming you to FSU. In all likelihood if you see the $200 deposit, it should mean that you are in, however I would caution everyone that with so many applicants, mistakes can occur.

I know its been a long wait (i remember last year), and I believe that if you see the $200 deposit it means you are in, but to be sure, you must wait until midnight to check.

Good luck to all

Also, someone had asked when the deposit is due. The answer is no later than May1, 2009. If FSU is your first choice (as it was our son's last year), then you can pay the deposit whenever you like, including right now, if it shows up in your account statement.

Once you get admitted, we found this site fsu.edu | prospective | undergraduate | accepted students | now what? (freshmen)

To be really useful and has many answers to the normal questions that arise after gaining admission.

The next major step after admission and housing is to look out for the info on orientation. last year I believe it came out in January some time. Orientation was really good last year.

Oh yeah.... most important thing to do after you get accepted..... KEEP YOUR GRADES UP FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR. last year several accepted students failed to do so and had their offers of admission rescinded

I talked to an admission officer and he said a general rule of thumb for keeping your acceptance would be no grades below a C

Once accepted...
1. Decide if you plan to attend FSU
2. Sign up for on-campus housing (Florida State University Housing)
3. Pay your $200 Admissions Deposit (fsu admissions | admission deposit)
4. Orientation information will be mailed within the next week and orientation registration opens Dec. 15 at (fsu.edu | new student & family programs) - space in sessions is first come so sign up early if you have a busy summer with plans
5. Turn in your health immunization form & do the online immunization waiver (Welcome to Thagard Student Health Center) before orientation - do early

Visit fsu.edu | newnole

Remember that Admissions Deposit and Orientation must both be paid before May 1, 2009 to save your spot at FSU. Do not let your grades/schedule change or you can have your acceptance canceled.

agghhh, I am trying to sign in but it is being incredibly slow. still waiting for page to load

I got in!!! I'm a nole!!!!!

Congratulations! You have been offered admission to Florida State University for the Fall Term, 2009. Please refer to the letter of acceptance mailed to you for the terms and conditions of your admission.

WOOO!!!

Congrats, I'm in too! Housing's been backed up since midnight to the second, though....
