An american's chances at mcgill

<p>applying to the school of the arts, and i'm american, not canadian</p>

<p>3.7 gpa
honors math, science, spanish, english, and history every year
ap government, ap literature, and ap chemistry
senior schedule is ap lit, ap chem, studio art II, honors calc, and honors art history
SATs - 710 critical reading 690 writing 680 math
taking SAT II's math 1 and literature in a few weeks</p>

<p>on the application i can't find anything about letters of recommendation or extra curriculars or anything so i don't know if they take it into consideration.</p>

<p>also, my dad went there and donates money annually.</p>

<p>Canadian universities base their admissions primarily on grades. I’m not sure about McGill, but for MacMaster’s, for example, you need something like a 90% average in 12th grade to get into their Health Sciences program.</p>

<p>Basically, they look at your 12th grade marks, and each program has a cutoff percentage. If you can get a McGill brochure it will give you a much better idea, because it has all the programs and averages listed.</p>
